I definitely believe in calling the police when somebody has left a party drunk or if I see somebody drunk at a bar get behind a wheel. Sure, they might make it home but they also have the chance of killing somebody.

I think many people underestimate the power of a growing tolerance to alcohol. People don’t think anything of it. They don’t realize that their BAC is higher than they believe because you can start holding more liquor the more that you drink.

I agree… we had a car crash into our small crick and no one would have known if we did not see the lights. The crick was down in a ditch. The driver was drunk!

Yes, the breathalyzer machines do there job when placed in a car, you cannot start it if you have been drinking. Which is perfect for people that abuse alcohol, which is anyone who has had more than a couple drinks and drives. YOU ARE ABUSING ALCOHOL!

I think if you start carrying around a hand-held breathalyzer than it’s time to quit drinking. The interlock device seems like a good idea, especially for people who’s families depend on their ability to be able to drive to work.

I know someone who lost his job because the company couldn’t afford the insurance premium following his DUI conviction. This is an aspect of drink-driving people don’t often think about until after the fact.

I’ve never really given any thought to how dangerous it is for police to do drunk driving checkpoints. I’m glad they can have extra equipment to keep them safe while they keep the rest of us safe. I hope other cities get these things too.

Wow, look at that. I would love to know more about what happened here. I wonder how many cars with drunk drivers go over cliffs and into ditches without anybody noticing.
